NANP Area Code Updating
On January 1, 1995, North American area codes underwent the most significant change since they were first introduced in 1947. Since the beginning of 1996, dozens and dozens of new area codes have gone into effect. There's a significant difference in these new codes. In the past, area codes have always had the number "1" or "0" as the middle digit. Now, area codes are being assigned with "2" through "9" as the middle digit.
To put it simply, the numbers game in area codes has dramatically changed -- and your databases must be ready if the calls and faxes your business depends on are to go through.
With our new NANP (North American Numbering Plan) Update Service, you simply send us your data. Then, our powerful database servers run a cross check on the nearly 60,000 changes in NPA's and NXX's (area codes and prefixes) and make all the changes. Just think of it -- if you send over 10,000 records, that is 60 million look-ups!
When all is done, we send you back your data and you are ready to go! Typical turnaround time is 1-2 business days.
Higher accuracy of phone and fax numbers means a more effective campaign with less no connects.
Economical way to update your entire database.
Ability to update both phone and fax numbers at once.
